Anjali Prasertong

Anjali cookingAnjali Prasertong is a graduate student at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, pursuing a masters degree in public health nutrition. She is a former editor for the award-winning cooking website The Kitchn, and her syndicated articles and recipes have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, TIME.com and other publications across the country.

A native of Los Angeles, she has been an English teacher in rural Japan, a private chef in Malibu, and a culinary volunteer for Edible Schoolyard New Orleans. She is currently a food systems intern at Propeller: A Force for Social Innovation and a research assistant at Tulane’s Center for Healthy Food Access.

She is often mistakenly believed to be a vegetarian and from Northern California. She doesn’t know how to feel about that.
